Primrose Cottage
History
Primrose Cottage was the first permanent home built in the town of Roswell. It was completed in seven months for Mrs. Eliza King Hand, the widowed daughter of Roswell King. Roswell King enjoyed the leisure hours spent here during his last years. He died on February 15, 1844 at the age of 78. He is buried in the Founders' Cemetery.
The recent addition of a glass-walled garden ballroom complete with dance floor was created with the history of the house in mind, it successfully combines old and new.
Weddings & Receptions
At Primrose Cottage, weddings are our first love and our specialty. We offer weddings and receptions to suit almost every personality. During the spring, summer and fall, our flower borders are ablaze with color, making them the ideal setting for a garden wedding. Add a flower covered arbor and floral decor to complement the wedding party and crisp, white chairs fanned out against a freshly mown lawn and all the picture lacks is the bride and groom.
Cocktail tables may be set up inside or out, depending on the number of people attending and the weather. An appetizer table may be set up separately from the main buffet to accommodate guests during the after-ceremony photos. Guests can enjoy sitting in the patio areas or strolling over the beautifully landscaped grounds. Toast the marriage with chilled champagne and sample hand-passed hors d'oeuvres while in the upstairs bridal suite, the bride can change clothes and exit in a grand manner.
Corporate Events
Primrose Cottage is also ideal for many corporate events. Why not take a break from the office and have your next business event at this beautiful and relaxing historic facility.
Indoor or outdoor receptions of up to 250 people or seated dinners for up to 84 people. Podium, screen and other items are available for presentations.

Testimonial
Everyone at Primrose Cottage made everything about getting married a piece of cake. As a bride, I kept expecting something to go wrong, but Primrose made sure nothing did. Even though our wedding was 5 months ago, we still have people say how beautiful it was.
Our wedding at Primrose Cottage was a huge success and I would recommend
ClassifiedEvents.com and Primrose to anyone looking for a memorable event.
